CHOPRA BIOGRAPHY
Miss World 2000, Priyanka Chopra was Born on 18th July, 1982 in Jamshedpur
India. She is an actress, model and former Miss World. She was kindheartedly
welcomed back in India after endearing Miss World 2000.She is 5'8" tall and
likes to write especially short stories and poetry. She also like Indian music
and dance.
Priyanka Chopra was born to a family of doctors. Her mother Dr.Madhu Chopra
and her father Dr Ashok Chopra. She says she is quite connected to her father
who is a surgeon in Indian army. Priyanka also has a younger brother named
Sidhart. Priyanka was very adored to her parents and raised in an affectionate
environment.
Priyanka Chopra was raised in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka did her early
tuition in Lucknow. She
also studied at La Martiničre Girls College in Lucknow and Maria Goretti College
in Bareilly. For higher studies she moved to USA where she studied at Newton
North High School, in Newton, Massachusetts and John F. Kennedy High School
in Iowa.
She didn’t had much desire
for modeling or ever thought of taking part in beauty contests. She wanted to be
a Software Engineer or a Criminal Psychologist. Her parents judged her
potential and sent her pictures to Femina Miss India procession. Priyanka won
Miss India-world contest and got an opportunity to represent India in Miss World
contest.
Priyanka was crowned Miss World in 2000.When she won the Miss
World crown, she became the fifth Indian woman to win the title in a span of
just seven years.
After securing the title she was bombarded with film offers. Priyanka Chopra
is the latest of beauty queens to join the Bollywood bandwagon. She first acted
in a Tamil film
Thamizhan
in 2002 and since then she has acted in many
Bollywood
films.Her debut hindi movie was Andaaz directed by Raj Kanwar.She then acted in
a series of flop movies. In 2004 she acted in Mujh Se Shaadi Karogi which was
her second hit.Her iniquitous role in Aitraaz won her many awards and accolades.
Krrish, the film which was her biggest hit so far and it is one of
the biggest hits of all time for Hindi film industry too. Priyanka Chopra now
has Internationalacknowledgment and considered for Hollywood movies.
